'Dudus' seeks to appeal prison sentence

Former Tivoli Gardens strongman Christopher 'Dudus' Coke has written a letter seeking to the Federal Court Judge in Manhattan, USA seeking to appeal his sentencing. The letter read which was addressed to District Judge Patterson read: "I am writing this letter to notify the court, that i would like to appeal the sentence, that was imposed on me on June 8 2012. Due to the lack of funds i am unable to afford a lawyer, so i am humbly asking for the court to appoint a lawyer to represent me. Thank you for your time and assistance." Coke was sentenced to 23 years in prison after he pleaded guilty to racketeering, conspiracy charges and assault charges.
